Biography
Professor Daniel Larouche is an expert metallurgist specializing in the study of phase transformation kinetics, a field in which he has made significant contributions. D. in metallurgical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, he worked at NRC and the Centre de recherche et développement d'Arvida before joining the faculty at Université Laval. His most recent theoretical work has made a major contribution to our understanding of the nucleation and coalescence of precipitates during the aging of metal alloys.
